A Fact About Me
A Bit About Me
Rachel is a passionate Sport Rehabilitator who completed her BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Nottingham. Through placements in private practice and sporting environments, she has gained hands‑on experience assessing and managing musculoskeletal injuries, and truly enjoys helping people recover, move better and return to the activities and sports they love.
She takes an evidence‑based, patient‑centred approach, combining hands‑on techniques such as sports massage and manual therapy with personalised, progressive exercise programmes. Her practice includes rehabilitation, exercise prescription, injury prevention, taping, sports massage and pitch‑side medical support in training and match‑day settings.
Alongside her work with athletes across football, rugby and lacrosse, Rachel is ITMMiF qualified, with training in trauma management and pitch‑side emergency care, and is particularly enthusiastic about the demands of working in contact sport. She also has a growing interest in women’s health, having led exercise sessions for pre‑menopausal and menopausal women and supported female athletes to manage menopause‑related changes.
Rachel is committed to holistic care, using an evidence‑based, biopsychosocial approach to support both physical and psychological aspects of recovery. Her style is collaborative, and practical, helping patients understand their injury and feel confident taking an active role in their rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys staying active, travelling and spending time with friends and family. She has coached cheerleading and gymnastics, which has strengthened her communication, and ability to adapt to work with people of different ages and abilities.
