A Fact About Me
A Bit About Me
Yaser is a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapist with a broad clinical background spanning sports medicine, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, older adult care, and acute hospital settings. He completed his Master of Science in Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) at Brunel University of London and is registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Having grown up in Canada before continuing his physiotherapy career in the UK, Yaser brings an open, adaptable, and patient-centred approach to his work. His multicultural background, combined with his ability to speak English, French, and Arabic, allows him to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds and create a supportive environment where patients feel listened to, respected, and understood.
Yaser has developed a particular interest in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy through his pitch-side work in rugby. His role includes providing match-day medical support to rugby players, including acute injury assessment, first aid, taping and strapping, concussion awareness, and return-to-play guidance. Working in a fast-paced sporting environment has strengthened his ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and make practical clinical decisions while always prioritising player welfare.
Alongside his sporting experience, Yaser has completed a diverse range of NHS clinical placements, including musculoskeletal outpatients, intensive care and respiratory physiotherapy, older adult rehabilitation, and neurological rehabilitation. These experiences have helped him develop into a well-rounded clinician with an appreciation not only for physical recovery, but also for the confidence and reassurance patients need when returning to movement, sport, work, or everyday activities.
With additional experience in neurological rehabilitation and Parkinson’s research, Yaser takes a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to assessment and treatment. He enjoys the problem-solving aspect of physiotherapy while placing equal importance on communication, trust, and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery.
Outside of physiotherapy, Yaser enjoys travelling, photography, spending time in nature, and staying active. He brings warmth, curiosity, and enthusiasm to his work and is passionate about helping people move with greater confidence, recover stronger, and return to the activities and experiences that matter most to them.
